Hello everyone, today I http://casinogriffon.uk/ would like to share my opinion about the film by Stuart Handler “Halo 4: Unto Dawn” 2012.
At the beginning of the film, you don’t understand whether the film should be classified as an adaptation or based on. After a couple of minutes, the viewer understands that he is watching a high-quality film that is a bridge between the end of part 3 and leads to the events of part 4.
The plot of the film is written quite well. The cast is also chosen so that you empathize with the characters. The audience’s attention is focused on a group of cadets of noble origin. Within the walls of the United Nations Space Command Academy, they are being trained to become the next generation of soldiers in the looming war between the UNCS and rebels on the colonial planets. The main character, Thomas Lasky, one of the cadets, has doubts about the war and fears of not living up to the high expectations of the command. One of the losing moments in the film is this very struggle between Laski and himself. We are shown how the hero is reviewing a video message from his brother who died in the war and cannot come to terms with it. Lucky himself is the son of a former cadet of this academy and now the best commander in the alliance… His name was not given in the film. One of the hero’s problems is an allergy to the drug that was administered to all cadets for cryosleep. Half the movie passed and we were only shown Master Chief for 3 seconds and that was on video. I was worried whether the Chief would be here at all? But suddenly the academy was attacked by guess who? Yes, yes, the most terrifying army of the Covenant alliance. And Lasky’s squad is forced to retreat to the hostel when there are four survivors left, but they were also on the verge of death. He, the legendary Master Chief, appears on the stage and saves the survivors. What follows is a final scene that bursts with action and at the end of the film, inspired by the exploits of the Master Chief, Lasky must learn first-hand what it means to be a hero.
Spartan John 117, aka Master Chief, appeared before me exactly as I imagined him. Huge, calm, calm and omnipotent. Over the years, the Halo universe has acquired a history and now it is no longer just a banal film adaptation of a simple game, it is a whole thoughtful universe with its heroes, villains and just people. So the label “film based on the game” can no longer be applied.
Verdict: Definitely a must watch for game connoisseurs. Those who haven’t played the game should also watch it, because it’s filmed clearly and without any deep hidden meaning.
10 out of 10
I would also like to add that the musical accompaniment was also a success thanks to composers Neil Davidge and Nathan Lanier.
Film budget $8,500,000
